A Way with War
Just a little commonplace book...written by the god of war...
Mortal Fools
A riff on A Midsummer Night's Dream set at a radical faerie commune.
Two gay men hope a trip to the woods will help them grow as a couple, but an unexpected encounter with the commune makes them wonder how well they know themselves and each other.
The play navigates between two timelines. In one, idealistic young outsiders band together in the midst of the AIDS crisis. Later, the older members reunite to give one of their own a proper sendoff.
In both, the wilderness beckons.
Toying with the Joneses
A typical American family, as seen through the lens of their toys and games. Alongside a family desperately clinging to their veneer of normalcy, we see the scenarios they force upon their toys. A mother prepares Sunday school puppet shows and struggles with her face; a son explores his forbidden interest in playing with dolls. And then we see the toys themselves, when no one else is looking, yearning to understand their place in the universe and find joy in their thankless, plastic existence.
Part A Doll’s House, part The Maids, part The Vagina Monologues, and part Toy Story.

A (Seedling) History of Treehouses
A (Seedling) History of Treehouses examines treehouses across time and cultures. In one evening, we glide from Indonesian tribes to Parisian restaurants, from medieval monasteries to Tudor playgrounds, and from the backyard of Caligula to John Lennon. Through inventive staging and design elements, a story organically unfolds examining our evolving human relationship with the earth and the eternal tensions between imagination and practicality.
